Plitvice Lakes National Park - Lower Lakes Waterfalls
Since the Lower Lakes of Plitvice Lakes National Park are located in a canyon, the paths cross through the frozen rivers and the rocky mountains.

Along the park there are several caves that can be visited, some of them underground. We have pictures here of the Šupljara Cave, located above Lake Kaluđerovac.

The highest waterfall of the entire park, the Large Waterfall (Veliki slap), is located at the end of the Lower Lakes. The Plitvice River flows into the Korana River through a 78 m high drop. It is possible to reach both upper and lower ends of this waterfall.
