Belvedere Palaces - Vienna
The Belvedere is a historic building complex in Vienna, consisting of two Baroque palaces, the Upper and the Lower Belvedere; an Orangery and the Palace Stables. The buildings are set in Baroque park landscape and also houses the Belvedere Museum. It was built as a summer residence for Prince Eugene of Savoy.
Majestic wrought iron gates at the entrance lead to the Upper Belvedere (Oberes Belvedere) which nowadays is used as a museum for masterpieces of the 19th and 20th century.

In front of the Upper Belvedere there are several statues and decorations, which make it more beautiful.

There is a big garden connecting the two Belvedere palaces. It is filled with decorative tiered fountains and cascades, Baroque sculptures and vivid and colorful flowers.

Nowadays, the Lower Belvedere (Unteres Belvedere) is used as a museum for special exhibitions, which changes from time to time. Following are photos of the exterior decorations as well as one of its interior rooms.
